Deciding to go with traditional metal braces is not only less expensive, they’re also the tried & true solution when it comes to giving you incredible results. Not only that, but most insurance companies also cover traditional braces, making it an even more economical option.
Clear, ceramic braces are a tad more expensive than traditional metal braces, but basically, they work the same way. The key difference is they’re clear. It’s important when you have clear braces to avoid drinking too many beverages that aren’t clear because the brackets can easily get stained, ruining the clear effect.
Invisalign uses clear custom trays to gradually move your teeth into their optimal position. Every 2 to 4 weeks, we’ll ask you to switch out your aligners for a new set. Then, we’ll monitor your progress every step of the way to ensure that your teeth are moving the right way. The thing about Invisalign that most people don’t know is that you must wear them for at least 20 to 22 hours a day for the treatment to work.

The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that children see an orthodontist as early as age seven. At this age, Dr. Faranesh can evaluate whether your child will need orthodontic treatment or not.
Early treatment (also known as Phase I) typically begins around age eight or nine. Phase II treatment typically begins around age 11 or older with a break in between Phase I and Phase II also known as the resting period.
The goal of early treatment is to correct the growth of your child’s jaw and any bite problems they may have, such as an underbite or crossbite. Early treatment also helps to make room for permanent teeth so that they come in properly, lessening the need for extractions in the future.
