Baby teeth usually come out all by themselves, but sometimes your child may need a little bit of compassionate help. The team at Adaven Children’s Dentistry can make this troubling situation less stressful for both you and your child.
Under normal circumstances, most children will lose their baby teeth by about the age of 13. However, there may be a need for pediatric tooth extraction before that point. Quite a few circumstances can mean that a tooth needs to come out before it’s quite ready or when a baby tooth needs a little help to come out at the right time, including:
At Adaven Children’s Dentistry, our team understands the worry that a dentist visit can cause for your child. We focus on pain-free, stress-free pediatric tooth extraction. The process involves a local anesthetic to numb the area around the tooth and then gently loosen the baby tooth to make removal quick and easy. In most cases laughing gas us used to calm your child. For very nervous children sedation may be necessary.
Our goal is to make your child comfortable and ensure that they’re stress-free. We’ll talk to them about the procedure and parents are free to be in the room during the process. Pediatric tooth extraction is usually a last resort, however. We recommend contacting us to discuss the options available to help your child.
Go ahead and contact our team today. Schedule an appointment so we can assess your child’s teeth and then discuss your options, including tooth extraction.
